I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, it’s just clothes, who cares? On the other hand, as a millennial pastor I try to be sensitive to the wishes of older members, by understanding that wearing a suit may not always be my preference but I can lay aside my rights for the sake of preaching the gospel to them. On the other other hand (I seem to be running out of hands) I’m also aware that it may be an impediment to millennials. After all, they very rarely interact with people in business suits in daily life. Then again, they do regularly consume media where people are in suits – ie. The Daily Show, Jimmy Kimmel, the guy on “How I Met Your Mother”.
